Suspected armed bandits Wednesday invaded a bakery in an outskirt of Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, killing 10 persons in the process.
Some of the residents who spoke to THISDAY, alleged that the armed bandits who came in the wee hours of the night were members of the Boko Haram as they clearly marked out their target.
Spokesperson of the Joint Task Force (JTF), Lt. Col. Sagir Musa, said: “Information available to the JTF Operation Restore Order indicated that at about 02:30 hours very early today (Wednesday) suspected armed robbers attacked a bread bakery at Ndayah located at the outskirt of Maiduguri in Mafa local government area.”
