Doctor warns against health hazards of skinny jeans

Squeezing into skinny jeans might cause more than just idle thoughts about dieting. Dr. Karen Boyle, from the Greater Baltimore Medical Center, believes encasing your legs in tight-fitting denim can damage your nerves. The symptoms of “Miralsha Parasthetica” disorder include tingling, numbness and pain in the outer part of the thigh, due to one of the nerves in that area being compressed.
And wearing high heels with skinny jeans only makes the condition worse, because of the tilting of the pelvis. Dr. Boyle suggests wearing skinny jeans that have a bit of stretch, which is sensible advice, or wearing “jeggings,” which is something that should never be encouraged by anyone.
